Show what applying bootstrap resources would change

Covers accounts, packages, files and directories, system and user services, the firewall, and Compose projects, in dependency order. Repositories, dotfiles, shell activation, macOS defaults, LaunchAgents, systemd user units, the login shell, tools, hooks, and the bootstrap task are not planned; preview the whole run with mise bootstrap --dry-run.

Flags

• -J --json — Output a stable machine-readable plan in JSON format

• --detailed-exitcode — Exit 0 if nothing would change, 2 if something would, 1 on errors or unknown state

  A resource's state is unknown when mise cannot reach its declared state on its own, for example a package whose manager is not available on this machine or cannot install the pinned version, or a service whose unit does not exist.

• --prompt-secrets — Prompt securely for missing bootstrap secret inputs

• -h --help — Print help
